AR Rheinromantik

While working at Urban Timetravel, I collaborated on a tourism app for four castles in the Rhine Valley. It enables a little scavenger hunt for treasures at the castles Reichenstein, Stahleck, Rheinstein and Sooneck. While collecting the treasures, the user is told piece by piece about a legend of the respective castle. The treasures can be collected on site in AR, and GPS is used to check whether you are in the right position. If the guest has limited mobility, there is also the possibility to collect the treasures in a 360° view. After collecting all the treasures in a castle, the user unlocks a mini-game, which can also be played in AR. Other features include an inventory, a menu and a high score system where users can compete against each other. The app was developed in Unity3d.
